With Hood Games being a stop on the last bart tour, with everything that was going on there that day as well, it would be remiss of us to dismiss the riding capabilities of roughneck rider Walker Ryan and the other locs that frequent Town Park. Big thanks to Organika, Vitamin Water, 510 Skateshop, the skaters and everyone involved in the day to make it an event for the community!
Mid 90′s is back with the 2nd annual red curb contest, this time taking place at the SF DMV. Come Through to test your mettle as a slappy expert or just to have a good time! Thanks to Lowcard, Cruz skateshop, hamburger eyes, heavy wheels, bloodwizard, paradise wheels & of course roughneck hardware for sponsoring this event. Bound to be good times!
Our own Fred Gall stops by the brick harbor offices to discuss the lifestyle choices he made currently, his inclusion in the X-Games, and other subjects.
In a tribute reminiscent of fellow Krooked rider Mark Gonzalez’s part in New York from “Mondo Vision” (1989), our own David Clark takes it to the streets.
OG roughneck Ben Krahn and Bloodwizard rider gets the cover and an interview in the newest issue of Lowcard. Also in the same issue, Ergo rider and bay area roughneck Errol Langdon gets an interview as well.
Roughneck og in the making Mike Anderson, and team mates from both the Matix & DVS squads present the SPoT Spring Roll all ages contest, with a weekend of hanging out with the SPoT crew!
Roughneck supporters Metro skateshop, Ratface, and a gang of others took this session to the riverbank skate park spine and the ensuing footage is what they came back with. Enjoy and feel inspired!
X Games Real Street is back this year with two of our very own competing against a grouping of some of the most talented skateboarders out today. Roughneck General Fred Gall & Roughneck OG Bobby Worrest are going to submit a 60 minute video part to be in the running for both a X-Games gold medal and $50,000. After the videos air during the X Games broadcast on ESPN2 on Sunday, July 1st, a panel of judges will pick the winning X Games medal part.
But first, all 16 videos will debut on xgames.com/realstreet on June 5th, and you will be able to vote in a tournament-style bracket for your favorite part each week leading up to X Games LA 2012. The skater who racks up the most votes from skate fans wins $50,000. The fan Favorite Award is in addition to the judge’s gold medal and prize money.
Roughneck up and comer Ryan “Peabody” McWhirter and some of the newer up and comers riding all terrain these days head up to Sacramento to get their miles worth @ a backyard pool party.
Roughneck Hardware was est. August 13th, 1997 in San Francisco, California. Hotel 107 was our home base. Shear determination and the love of skateboarding, is what gave me the drive to create an independent skateboard company. We have seen many companies come and go over the years, but roughneck has kept the dream alive for over a decade. All the blood, sweat, and tears have paid off! We are the worlds #1 skate hardware. RNCK has the most diverse team in the business. Roughneck is a family, from big guns "Peter Ramondetta" & "Dennis Busenitz" to the new young up and coming rippers "Andrew Allen" & "Robbie Russo" just to name a few soldiers. This truly is an exciting time for our family, and we are looking forward to keeping Roughneck a name you can trust. Thanks for the support. respect, Johnny Roughneck
